Job Description

This role is critical for the protection of Associates from both inside and outside threats as well as ensuring appropriate controls to protect secure materials, intellectual property and trade secrets.

**Responsibilities:**

Facility Security & Asset Protection

* Monitor access control, intrusion detection and surveillance systems and investigate unusual activity

* Vet all visitors to the facility

* Escort visitors inside the facility as needed

* Conduct security searches of people, containers, vehicles as needed

* Process access control requests and issue access badges as needed

* Assist Shipping Department with pick up and deliveries as needed

* Inspect all outgoing parcels and track the receipt of secure material shipped from the facility

Observation and Reporting

* Complete comprehensive incident reports documenting unusual activity and investigative outcome

* Complete log of daily activity to document routine actions

* Complete assessments and audits as assigned

* Complete interior and exterior visual patrols and report any vulnerabilities, potential hazards, unusual findings, or ideas for improvements

* Conduct security equipment testing as assigned

Communication & Training

* Provide general security training for all new Associates

* Provide security policy reminders and security tips to all Associates as assigned

* Enforce all safety and security policies and procedures and report violation to leadership

* Answer main telephone line and route calls as needed

* Assist the Security Supervisor with conducting internal red team exercises as needed

Emergency Response

* Provide basic medical care as needed

* Facilitate access for Emergency Responders (police, fire, ambulance) in the event of an emergency

**Qualifications:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent required

* One-year experience in security or law enforcement or an Associates Degree or higher in Criminal Justice or related field

* Have or ability to obtain Basic 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification

* Basic computer skills. Knowledge of CCTV, premise alarm protection, and access control systems preferred

* High energy with the ability to prioritize and multi-task many activities at the same time.

* Ability to display confidence and be adaptive in a rapidly changing environment.

* Ability to work independently (Minimal direction).

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong conflict management and conflict resolutions skills.

* Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.

* Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and will need to demonstrate Suitability for employment in a Position of Public Trust consistent with our U.S. Government contract requirements
