Job Description

Boston Speech, a woman and speech therapist-owned company, is currently looking for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and assist in providing therapy to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders, as well as a variety of other disorders. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field and make a positive impact on the lives of students. This position will require the ability to work in a school-based setting 3-4 days a week. This position has a competitive rate of $40/HR.
Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologist in evaluating and diagnosing patients
• Implement treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist
• Provide therapy sessions to improve speech and language skills
• Monitor and document patient progress
• Assist in educating patients and their families on communication strategies
• Collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Requirements

• State certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow directions and work under supervision
• Ability to grow and develop Speech Pathology skills through hand-on experience

Benefits

This is a part-time position until the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Benefits are unfortunately not included with this position.
