Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Custodians are responsible for maintaining and cleaning the Sid Jacobson JCC facilities. This includes but is not limited to lobbies, entrance areas, lavatories, locker rooms, cafes, gyms, and all office areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety standards and guidelines
- Sweep/Dust corridors, offices, locker rooms, staff lounge, and bathrooms
- Empty all wastebaskets and/or trash bins daily, replace liners as needed
- Replenish supplies required for facilities maintenance
- Maintain cleaning supplies and notify Facilities Supervisor or Facilities Director when additional supplies are needed
- Clean and sanitize refrigerators, staff lounge sinks/counters, and restroom sinks/urinals.
- Vacuum and spot clean carpets as necessary
- Clean office areas, hallways, stairs, breakrooms, entryways and grounds
- Communicate with Supervisor/Team Lead, follow instructions
- Carry Radio unit at all times
- General housekeeping duties
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years experience
- Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs
- Time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instruction
Schedule: 4p-12a evening during the week 1 time a week
Sat 12p-8p, Sun 1p-9p
Compensation details: 17-20 Hourly Wage
