The Senior Manager, Technical SEO, will provide strategic and tactical support to the SEO team to facilitate the implementation and maintenance of technical SEO best practices across multiple websites. This person will enjoy working both autonomously and collaborating with the SEO, Development, Web Experience, and Product teams. This candidate must possess exceptional organizational and analytical skills and have an insatiable drive for data-proven results. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven team-player with a passion for SEO and previous experience implementing technical SEO best practices.

Primary/Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with SEO team leads to ensure a strong foundation of technical SEO best practices and site health on multiple domains

* Conduct technical audits and crawls on websites to deliver actionable technical SEO recommendations and support their deployment, establishing technical SEO roadmaps as needed

* Identify, diagnose, and recommend solutions for technical SEO issues related to indexation, duplicate content, canonicals, redirects, pagination, JavaScript, CSS/HTML, UX, and XML sitemaps

* Submit SEO-focused JIRA tickets to the development team with clear requirements and acceptance criteria, assisting in troubleshooting as needed

* Support migrations for domains and content management systems by providing site architecture recommendations, KCD (Keep/Combine/Delete) recommendations, redirect mapping recommendations, and other technical SEO recommendations as needed

* Develop new processes or improve existing processes for SEO tasks including KCD exercises, keyword research, and technical audits while documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.

* Collaborate with development teams to enhance and maintain site/page speed, Core Web Vitals, and Schema markup initiatives, monitoring sites to document performance improvements

* Support Quality Assurance (QA) on staging and production environments to validate successful implementation and deployment of SEO enhancements

* Manage the process for updating and maintaining robots.txt files and XML sitemaps to ensure proper crawling and indexation of websites

* Monitor SEO performance metrics, optimizations, and reporting KPIs to the SEO team on a consistent cadence

* Gather and maintain cross-functional SEO requirements for the sunsetting and/or launch of products, webpages, and websites

* Stay up-to-date on SEO industry trends and technical SEO best practices to share innovative tactics and learnings with internal teams

* Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office

* 30-day notification period preferred

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor Degree with a focus in Marketing, IT, or related discipline

* Minimum of 5 years experience managing technical SEO for multiple websites

* Advanced knowledge of technical SEO best practices, ranking algorithms, and industry trends

* Advanced knowledge of tech stacks, their underlying technologies, and their implications on SEO best practices

* Advanced understanding and usage of Google Analytics 360, Google Search Console, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, SiteBulb, and Screaming Frog

* Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

* Keen problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities; high level of accuracy, attention to detail and critical thinking skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
