As a Security Guard - Armed Corrections Flex in Bartow, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a corrections environment. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help promote a secure atmosphere, and respond promptly to any incidents. This position requires an armed post, and you will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the correctional facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or incidents.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or individuals within the location to provide assistance and uphold site protocols.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies and/or alarms in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, in compliance with training and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
• Possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience, or possess a college degree.
• Possess a state, county, or city issued security-related license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
