Roustabout Lead

Summary:

This position is responsible for the daily operation, optimization and maintenance of assigned oil and gas processing equipment, including the identification and repair of problems or potential problems, documentation, and production reporting.

This position will offer an opportunity and training to become a lease operator.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Jade Owl owned equipment and leases.
• Support the Production Operations team to meet company goals.
• Rebuild and service oil production equipment to include treaters, free water knockout vessels, open-top tanks, pumps, and surface pumping units. 
• Install, and repair buried flowlines.
• Spray and mow weeds around leases. 
• Maintain clean leases by picking up trash, and cleaning up spills. 
• Organize, inventory, and restock company-owned materials. 
• Maintain lease roads and pads. 
• Fill in as relief pumper when required. 
• Generate ideas for cost savings. 
• Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with company policies, Safety & Regulatory requirements. Encourage Near Miss Reporting, JSA reviews, Stop Work Authority, LOTO and SOP procedures.
• Participates in route reviews to share knowledge of wells and facilities with Foreman, Engineering, and other operational teams.
• Builds positive public image through daily landowner interaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Class A CDL is required.
• A minimum of 2 years related oil/gas experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required .

Schedule and Structure:

• 5x2 schedule: 40 hours per week with work on weekends and opportunity for overtime.

Travel Requirements :

• Travel is required to the jade owls field locations. 
• The main field office locations are in Upton, Wyoming and Rozet, Wyoming.

• Working in ambient temperatures of -40°F to 100°F
• Work in all weather conditions including rain, snow, mud, etc. – work is performed in hazardous driving and working conditions all season of the year.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Work locations are within a 2-hour drive of Gillette, Wyoming.
• Job requires working alone for >80% of time.
• Exposure to hazardous facilities including moving equipment and H2S environments.

Base Pay Range: $30-$34/hour.

• Pay is hourly with the opportunity for overtime pay.
• Bonus is provided based on base pay.
• Future pay growth is based on value-added, not years of experience.
