Position Overview: RN Staff Development Nurse

As a Staff Development Nurse , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring staff are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and resources to provide outstanding care. You will assist in employee health compliance, training, recruitment , and educational programs , promoting adherence to regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Health and Compliance : Administer and track employee TB screenings, Hepatitis B, and flu vaccinations.


• Staff Training : Coordinate and lead orientations, in-services, and competency programs, ensuring certifications and training are up-to-date.


• Employee Development : Assist with obtaining CEU accreditation for programs and nursing competencies.


• Infection Control : Monitor compliance, conduct investigations, and implement control measures.


• Recruitment : Participate in peer interviews to attract and retain top talent.


• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of screenings, vaccinations, and educational completions.

You’ll also uphold CHI Living Communities’ mission and values in every interaction, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You Need for This Role:

• Education : Must hold an Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program.


• Licensure : Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio is required.


• Experience :
  
  
  
  • Previous nursing experience, ideally in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.
  
  
  • Staff development or training experience is a plus.
  
  


• Certifications :
  
  
  
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required.
  
  
  • BBET certification is preferred but not required.
  
  


• Skills and Abilities :
  
  
  
  • Strong knowledge of infection control practices and regulatory standards.
  
  
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills .
  
  
  • Ability to organize and lead educational programs effectively.
  
  
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to track, report, and analyze compliance data.

Schedule Details:
