ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Consultation with all program staff regarding the behavior and psychiatric needs of individuals receiving
  • Assessment of all individuals' behavioral and psychiatric
  • Coordination of individuals' psychiatric treatment including: attending psychiatric appointments, preparing psychiatric assessments for all psychiatric appointments, developing all psychiatric medication treatment plans, monitoring side effects for psychiatric medication, providing staff training for psychiatric treatment plans, maintaining accurate records, and consistent and accurate communication with treating psychiatric providers.
  • Coordination of behavioral treatment including: assisting a PBS-qualified clinician in the oversight of behavior support plans, developing behavioral guidelines, training direct care staff in universal positive behavior supports, monitoring and overseeing the implementation of behavioral treatment, functional assessment of behavioral data, and maintaining accurate
  • Coordination of all individuals' mental health counseling needs including arranging counseling services and communication with counselors as
  • Ensuring timely approval of all intensive behavioral support plans by the Human Rights Committee and Peer Review Committee including annual review and
  • Participation and assisting in the coordination of agency Human Rights and Peer Review Committees' processes and meetings.
  • Participation in agency Interdisciplinary Team meetings and processes.
  • Preparation of annual progress summaries for individuals receiving psychology services for annual
  • Attendance at the annual ISP meeting as
  • Arranging team meetings for behavioral and psychiatric issues as
  • Coordination of activities of all external psychology
  • Arranging specialty consultations as needed for individuals' behavioral and psychiatric
  • Consultation to all day habilitation programs including completing needs assessments, developing behavior guidelines, training on universal positive behavior supports, completing quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reviews of day habilitation participants, and participation in severity profile assessments.
  • Attendance at program staff meetings
  • Provide staff training in general behavioral therapy principles, specific mental health issues, behavioral crisis intervention, individual-specific behavior supports, and psychiatric treatment
  • Liaising with external parties (i.e., DMR, guardians, other providers, ) regarding behavioral and psychiatric issues.
  • Participating in Roger Monitoring Reviews
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maintenance of an acceptable CORI
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Negative drug screen
  • Use of personal vehicle for work purposes
  • Provide management oversight during inclement weather
  • Maintain flexibility with weekly scheduled hours to accommodate the program
  • Commitment to the philosophy of community inclusion and person-centered thinking
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field
  • LMHC, LABA, LCSW, or LICSW
  • 5 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Demonstrated history of quality work performance and teamwork in previous positions
