Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for onboarding new Business Use cases, developing exceptional reports, dashboards, and KPI using Power BI desktop, Power BI report server and Power BI service
Requirements:
Hands-on role evaluating existing SSRS infrastructure/reports
Strong experience migrating complex SSRS reports into on premise Power BI Report Server
Experience writing extracts/pulling data from multiple database sources
Competent with Power BI Desktop, On-premises data Gateway and Report Server
Strong SQL reporting skills with the ability to create SQL views and write SQL queries to build custom datasets for reporting or analysis
Knowledge of other BI and ETL tools like Tableau, Alteryx, Splunk and data sources like Hadoop and Oracle
Knowledge of python modules such as pyodbc and powerbiclient
Proficient in restful API web services with python
Desired Skills:
Experience with ETL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and extracting, transforming, loading data into data warehouses
