Supplemental Income! Up to $300/week.

Looking to hire one person in MADISON (part time, 8-20 hours a week) with weekday availability from roughly 5 to 9 PM Monday thru Friday.

Must be available most weekends (not necessary to be available every weekend).
Requirements :

• Be able to walk dogs for 30+ minutes at a time
• Capable of handling all sizes of canines from small to large
• Have reliable transportation (your own vehicle) and a valid drivers license
• Have a smart phone
• Prior experience working with pets is preferred
• Compassion, patience, and reliability
• The ability to walk, pull, push, bend or reach
• The ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Comfortable caring for a variety of pets such as cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, birds, etc.
• Must be 18 or older
• Attention to detail is absolutely necessary

Experience at animal shelters, veterinarian offices, kennels and/or training facilities a plus but not necessary. We will provide Pet CPR and first aid training and basic cat and dog behavior/knowledge training.

Responsibilities: 

• Medication Administration – When needed, administer medications to pets via liquid, pill, etc.
• Exercise – Walk the clients’ dogs to provide exercise. Play with cats to exercise them.
• Care for Pets – Follow instructions to feed, water, and play with the pets. Pick up after the animals including scooping litter boxes.
• Security of Home – Ensure that client homes are secure upon departure.
• Communication – Communicate with the animals’ owners through our software and be aware and communicate any medical needs observed during your visit.

The amount of hours changes based on client need. Some weeks may be pretty busy especially around holidays and in the summer, and some may be slower when clients are not traveling.
