OVERVIEWThe role collaborates closely with the Director of Regulatory to contract new third-party payers, including Medicare and Medicaid, across multiple states. It supports pharmacy-payer relations by ensuring contract compliance, maintaining up-to-date contracts in both physical and electronic formats, and understanding payer eligibility and authorization requirements. This includes knowledge of how different insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid reimburse pharmacies. The position also focuses on building strong relationships with provider relations and claims processing managers within payer organizations to facilitate smoother interactions and enhance contract outcomes.RESPONSIBILITIESManage and submit state and federal licensing applications, renewals, and re-credentialing processes for all pharmacy and on-site technology locations.Maintain filing calendars and proactively manage upcoming filing deadlines to ensure timely submissions.Communicate with state and federal agencies to address inquiries, obtain status updates, and resolve any issues.Coordinate and report filing statuses to management on a regular basis, ensuring transparency and accountability.Participate in various educational sessions, training programs, policy discussions, and team meetings to stay informed and engaged.Perform additional duties as assigned by the direct supervisor to support the business's operational needs.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSStrong English communication skills, both written and verbal.Familiarity with pharmacy operations and reimbursement processes for Medicare and Medicaid.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.Ability to build relationships with internal teams and external insurers.Strong analytical skills for issue resolution and regulatory understanding.Dependable work ethic with a focus on results.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per dayThe employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittentlyMay be necessary to work extended hours as neededMay lift and/or move up to 50 poundsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this roleHOLIDAY & PTO POLICYWe provide qualifying full-time employees with 23 PTO (Paid Time Off) days annually.
