Jan's Pet Sitting is one of California's highest-rated and most established pet-sitting & dog walking companies! As a pet sitter, you will be responsible for our clients’ animals' safety and the security of their homes. We seek an honest, patient, and enthusiastic employee who can provide the highest quality visits possible. We appreciate and value employees with a “can do” attitude and a willingness to learn! About 80% of our work is caring for cats, and about 20% is walking dogs. 

Location/Schedule:

• We service Belmont, Burlingame, Emerald Hills, Foster City, Redwood City, Redwood Shores, San Carlos, San Mateo, and nearby communities. 
• This position is 10-15+ hours a week, depending on your availability and client demand. We ask employees to be available a minimum of three days per week.
• We have openings seven days/week, Sunday through Saturday, mornings and afternoons/late afternoons. Most of our clients will request services between 9 AM and 6 PM, but some availability before 9 AM and after 6 PM can help.

Compensation:

• $18 - $25 / hour (staff will start between $18 - $19 per hour. After bonuses and gratuity, most staff members average $23 - $25 per hour)
• $600.00 - $2,000/month, depending on your availability
• Mileage Reimbursement at the full IRS rate

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe and positive environment for our client’s animals.
• Provide detailed and attentive care for our client’s fur family.
• Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch.
• For dogs, provide a safe and positive walking environment.
• Timely communication with staff via phone/text/email and photographs.
• Good time management skills to ensure on-time arrivals for assigned visits.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• You must be available to work part-time during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year's. Holidays represent some of our busiest times of the year.
• You must have a smartphone and a laptop/desktop, as you will need to access our scheduling database.
