Responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the department. The primary department function is to secure bed placement utilizing clinical and critical thinking skills to admit non emergent patients and to work collaboratively with other disciplines and departments within and outside the hospital to assure the appropriate bed assignments and transfer arrangements are made. Promotes positive customer service skills while ensuring that all patient demographics and financial information is accurate in order to have a positive outcome for the facility. He or she will support the delivery of safe, effective, high quality and efficient patient flow at Baptist Health. Description

• Valid AL RN license.
• 5 years recent and broad clinical experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Effective decision making and problem solving skills, demonstration of effective problem solving and strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates effective critical thinking skills and responds accordingly to crisis situations.
• Must be able to function in high stress environment subject to frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service skills.
• PC literacy required.
• Must be able to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Registered Nurse (RN) License.
