Job Summary:

The Oil and Gas Revenue Accounting Technician is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of revenue transactions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. This role involves detailed analysis, reconciliations, and reporting of revenue data, supporting the organization's financial integrity. 

Responsibilities:

• Revenue Processing : Accurately process and record revenue transactions from oil and gas sales.
• Billing : Identify and rectify revenue and joint billing discrepancies.
• Data Reconciliation : Reconcile revenue accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Research and Resolution : Identify and rectify through research, title issues, suspense accounts, and release of suspended revenue.
• Reporting : Prepare and distribute monthly revenue reports to management and stakeholders.
• Compliance : Ensure all revenue accounting activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
• Analysis : Conduct detailed analysis of revenue data to identify trends and variances.
• Collaboration : Works closely with operators to coordinate interest calculations and requirements for curative ownership.
• Documentation : Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all revenue and transactions and processes.
• System Maintenance : Assist in maintaining and improving revenue accounting systems and processes. 

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of legal descriptions and land title documents.
• Knowledge of basic division order concepts, estates, and calculating decimal interests.
• Education : A degree is preferred but not required.
• Experience : At least 2-3 years of experience in oil and gas revenue accounting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• This is an in-office, Monday through Friday schedule.
