Job Description: Cambria's Instructional Designer is responsible for creating learning experiences that align to identified objectives and audience. This is completed through consultation, needs analysis, and strong partnerships with subject matter experts. Content curation will be implemented through a range of formats and multimedia production platforms. The Instructional Designer will manage the overall development process through to implementation, evaluation and maintaining content. Other responsibilities may include reshaping content, developing assessments and objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in adult learning, teaching and/or workshop facilitation with a passion for creating learning experiences that invigorate and empower the learner. They must have a working knowledge of adult learning, development process and collaboration best-practices, and be experienced in development and deployment applications (such as Articulate, Adobe Premier, PowerPoint and Slides).
This position offers a hybrid/WFH schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - The ideal candidate will be able to apply advanced adult learning theories into a practical application-based training strategy
- Experience in conducting training using the ADDIE model and be able to naturally work within all the phases of it
- Design and develop training plans, courses, and content in various mediums (including traditional, online, video mediums) to support business needs
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to design and develop customizable learning experiences
- Develop training content that engages learners and aligns with identified outcomes
- Develop instructor's manuals and other teaching tools
- Structure courses to integrate seamlessly with software and LMS
- Complete final Quality Assurance testing on brand standards, grammar, and functionality
- Upload SCORM packages and supporting course detail to the LMS
- Write scripts for video and audio content
- Work independently to develop training materials for all delivery types: digital and classroom experiences
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the company's business, processes and sales-centric approach, with a focus on Cambria's values
- Evaluate and modify future programs to better meet the needs of Cambria
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills: - Competency with eLearning software such as Articulate 360, Rise, Camtasia, Captivate
- Excellence in conducting learning needs analysis (ADDIE/SAM Model)
- Basic audio and video editing skills
- Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS), ideally Workday Learning
- Strong project management skills and the flexibility to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Highly organized with superior attention to detail
- Ability to effectively participate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with a proven record of taking initiative
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in related field.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of instructional design experience/curriculum and/or teaching/training and development experience. Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques.
Systems: Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e. PremierPro, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Learning Management System and eLearning authoring tool such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate and/or Lectora.
Additional Requirements: Travel Requirements: Ability to travel off-site to other locations for meetings and presentations as needed.
Physical Requirements: This is an office position requiring phone and computer use.
