Plumbing System Inc. is an established company with over 30 years of experience providing top-tier service and quality products in many areas around the Vail Valley and Summit County area.

About This Role

The Inspection Technician is responsible for meeting town, county or state building inspectors for all PSI job related installation of equipment that require a permit. The successful candidate will be a self-starter working both independently and, in a team setting based out of our growing Gypsum, CO office.

What You'll Do Here

Inspection

  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of PSI.
  • Must complete proper paperwork data input as assigned for the inspections.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Review schedule board to see what inspections are scheduled the next day and what type (ex. rough in, or final, etc.) and the location, familiarize yourself with the scope of work of each job that is scheduled for that day.
  • Meet inspector and do job walk.
  • Update Service Titan software with inspections results.
  • Maintain safe driving practices.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing equipment operation and associated operating systems.
  • Preparing job folders with accurate and complete job scope of work and other necessary reports and forms.

Warehouse

  • Assemble, load and unload equipment, assist with deliveries and prepare equipment for projects.
  • Perform routine checks on tools when returned to ensure it is safe and in good working order.
  • Manage material returns.
  • Manage warranty returns.
  • Manage returns of excess materials from jobs.
  • Manage purchase orders and material receiving.
  • Manage next day project installs and installs in general, with regards to material and equipment staging and materials fulfillment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Self- starter/resourceful - able to independently work, learn & plan with minimal guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with technicians, finance team and upper management.
  • Capable of learning on the fly with a focus on problem-solving.
  • A self-motivated and who is accountable for one's work.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with data.
  • Mechanically inclined and able to diagnose potential issues.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Must consider safety one's primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements.
  • To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit; stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls; hear, and talk.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces.
  • The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required.
  • The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons.
  • This role is expected to work Monday through Friday from 7:30am-5pm, with occasional on call weeks

The pay for this position is $23-$25/hour or more depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location, plus performance based incentives. Other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
