Role: Housekeeping Manager

Compensation: 55k/annually

Job Summary:

The Ashbrook Hotel is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to join our team. The Housekeeping Manager, oversees the housekeeping operations and ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and overall guest satisfaction. The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for managing a team of housekeeping staff, implementing, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and coordinating with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the housekeeping department, including scheduling, staffing, and training of housekeeping staff.
  • Develop and implement cleaning procedures and standards to maintain a clean, orderly, and visually appealing hotel environment.
  • Lead and motivate the housekeeping team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to maintain high productivity and service quality levels.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and develop employee growth and development strategies.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong service-oriented culture.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards compliance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering departments to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues and repairs.
  • Assist in developing and managing the housekeeping department budget, monitoring expenses, and optimizing cost control measures.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices to promote environmental responsibility within the housekeeping department.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and guests to ensure a clear understanding of expectations, standards, and any specific requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a housekeeping management role within the hotel industry.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping management systems and software.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
