POSITION SUMMARY :

The Health Informatics Specialist will provide all electronic health record (EHR) training and support to users. The Health Informatics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating training agendas, delivery of training materials and performing EHR technical support. The Health Informatics Specialist will also work closely with internal departments to ensure that users have the knowledge and skill to operate the EHR system.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide classroom one-on-one and on-site roaming end user support
• Execute hands-on initial and on-going training for new and existing staff on the EHR system, other integrated systems, and related applications
• Support new and upgrade implementation modules
• Perform HIT operational audits and generate reports as determined by management
• Offer immediate support to staff with reported issues and concerns
• Triage end user issues providing support in specific areas such a patient encounters, patient scheduling, workflows and business operations of EHR and other applications/software
• Perform workflow assessments and provide feedback on system/workflow improvements
• Document and monitor new and existing workflows and their associated procedures
• Collaborate in the development of necessary policies and procedures and forward related issues that require resolution

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, or another related field with 2+ years’ of experience;
• Or Associates degree/Allied Health certification in nursing with 2+ years’ of experience.
• FQHC experience preferred
