Position Purpose The Health Informatics Data Analyst implements and optimizes an analytics pipeline, along with the necessary reporting and data visualization tools to support the Clinical, Quality, Prevention, Research and Social Services operations of Vivent Health. As such, the Health Informatics Data Analyst understands the data landscape at Vivent Health and marries this knowledge with stakeholder and business requirements to provide accurate, insightful, and actionable information, and by doing so, directly supports the holistic patient-centric care model at Vivent Health.
Essential Functions At a high level, the Health Informatics Data Analyst transforms data into knowledge. To do this requires organizing and managing large and varied datasets from disparate sources, analyzing these datasets to optimize operations, and communicating findings using data visualization and reporting techniques to stakeholders and organizational leadership. Essential functions and duties include:
- Partnering with internal stakeholders, business partners and vendors to gather requirements, understand technical capabilities, and identify solutions.
- Understanding, configuring, and managing the tools and processes for data extraction and transformation.
- Communicating analytic insights to clinical and operational stakeholders and leaders in an accessible and clear manner.
- Develop, test, and debug an analytics pipeline to query, compile, organize, and integrate healthcare data from disparate sources, including an enterprise electronic health record (Epic Systems) and an HIV care management application (Provide Enterprise) in order to deliver reproducible and scalable analysis-ready data sets.
- Design, develop and maintain the applications and processes that comprise the analytics pipeline
- Understanding data storage and data sharing methods.
- Developing reports and presentations.
- Validating solutions prior to production deployment.
- Supporting solutions following Production deployment, to include utilizing feedback and experiential information to optimize delivered solutions.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare, Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of database structures and design.
- Proficiency with one or more database programming and scripting languages, including SQL, R, and Python.
- Experience with one or more Analytics and Business Intelligence platforms, such as Tableau, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, or Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary: Starting at $59,000/annually (Depending on Experience)
