Overview:
United Engines is Now Hiring a Diesel Generator Technician at 8200 Distribution Drive, Little Rock, AR 72209. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of power generation equipment in a timely and professional manner. Field service/medical card required.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize strong technical skills in the operation, maintenance, and service of power generation equipment.
- Perform diesel and alternative fueled engines troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
- Read job orders and observe and listen to operating equipment to ensure conformance to specifications or to determine malfunctions.
- Exhibit knowledge of AC generators, voltage regulators, circuit breakers, transfer switches, electronic controls, generators, and power systems.
- Follow the technicians responsibilities in managing the repair in support of the established UE processes and policies.
- Write clear and accurate summaries of repairs and service performed with appropriate detail to ensure UE can charge fairly for services rendered.
- Meet or exceed established standard repair times.
- Must participate in the On Call rotation as assigned.
- Manage and operate Field service vehicles in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Read, interpret, and comprehend service manuals in order to remain up to date on changes.
- Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
- All other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 1 (one) years of experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of diesel/propane/natural gas-powered generating equipment.
- Ability to utilize desktop computer systems, hardware, and operating systems.
- Experience working with low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Purchase and/or possess basic hand tools, reliable transportation and current state issued driver license.

- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.
- Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands, and fingers.
- Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.
- Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.
Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers. - Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
Working Conditions:
- Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.
- Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.
- Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground.
