Job Summary

Valentine Mechanical is seeking a professional Generator Service Technician to join our team in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. This individual will deliver exemplary service to our customers by providing regularly scheduled maintenance, repairs, and installations for generators in the Tri-Parish Area. They will also provide excellent customer service, exceptional workmanship, and create a positive company image.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $18.00 to $35.00 per hour, paid biweekly. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plans.

Responsibilities

•Install, repair, service, and maintain generators.

•Perform preventative maintenance such as changing filters, draining tanks, and checking fluids.

•Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other problems.

•Test generator components and systems for proper performance.

•Advise customers of maintenance and repairs needed to ensure optimal performance.

•Document all maintenance and repairs performed.

•Maintain tools and equipment in a neat and safe manner.

•Follow all safety protocols and precautions.

Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.

•High level of proficiency in the use of diagnostic and repair tools, and in the process of electrical repairs.

•Familiarity with engine and generator technology.

•Knowledge of safety and troubleshooting procedures.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.

•Excellent communication and customer service skills.

•Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
