Paid Internship: Financial Portfolio Manager
Are you a numbers enthusiast with a knack for building relationships? Do you love diving into details, analyzing data, and seeing how it all connects? We’re looking for a Portfolio Manager Intern who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and gain hands-on experience with both the member-facing and analytical sides of commercial lending. In this role, you’ll work alongside our Lending Team to learn the ins and outs of annual reviews, renewals, and everything in between.

About You:
- You’re detail-oriented and love digging into data, but you’re just as comfortable building relationships with members
- You’re eager to learn about the full lending process, from sales to underwriting to operations
- You’re a natural multitasker who can juggle priorities without breaking a sweat
- You’re organized, proactive, and enjoy solving puzzles—especially financial ones
- You get excited about translating financials into actionable insights
- You want to make a real impact and gain experience that will kickstart your career in finance
What you will do:
- Assist the Lending Team with annual reviews and renewals by reaching out to members to collect financials and information
- Collaborate with Analysts to enter data and prepare financial reviews
- Support Loan Specialists by helping create Input Sheets and assisting with the preparation process
- Gain exposure to all aspects of lending, including sales, underwriting, and operations, to develop a well-rounded understanding of the field
- Work on real projects that provide hands-on experience in commercial lending while building valuable skills for your future
- Participate in monthly development sessions with other SCCU interns on topics like leadership, career planning, professional communication, and more
Internship Details:
- Best suited for accounting, finance, and economics majors (or something similar)
- Spring or Summer Internship
- A minimum commitment of 12 weeks, with priority given to students interested in extending their time with SCCU
- Flexible schedule to work around school & extra curriculars
- 10-30 hours per week
- Paid at $15/hour
- Work from our Tower branch location in Superior, WI
