Job Description

Executive Director (Tucson)

Non-profit Construction Trade Organization seeks an Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day duties of the organization. They will work hand in hand with board members. Organizational skills, attention to detail, forward thinking, tenacity, and self-motivation are important qualities for this job. Responsibilities include recruiting, monitoring, and supporting a State Approved Apprenticeship program, as well as communicating with the National Organization on related matters.

General Responsibilities:

Set up, prepare agenda, distribute, and meet in person with board members approximately 6-12 times per year.

Maintain pristine and transparent financial records to be presented at Board meetings.

Possess QuickBooks knowledge.

Apply for and track grant money and ensure proper distribution of these funds.

Continually apply for grants or outside funding to assist in apprentice and organizational development.

Coordinate quarterly member meetings and enroll relevant speakers.

Handle all aspects of billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Visit apprenticeship classrooms at least 2 times per semester to check in with instructors and apprentices.

Process new apprentice applications and conduct orientation.

Coordinate graduation ceremonies and issue completion certificates.

Monitor apprentice work relations and Contractors relations with apprentices.

Update member contractors after each semester on their apprentices status in class grades, attendance, current hours, and advancements.

Ensure apprentice classrooms are well stocked for hands-on learning, including coordination of materials and tools.

Track classroom hours.

Update Board members with relevant operational information that may occur between Board meetings.

Interact with other organizations and groups to ensure the organization receives the apprentices, funding, and notices needed to remain successful.

Recruit new members and maintain communication with current members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
