Salary: $62,000 annually

Accountability: Accountable to the Workforce Development Director

Supervisory Responsibilities : The Program Manager will oversee the Intern Coordinator, Employment Specialists, Hub Host and the Health and Wellness Specialist.

Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Provide leadership, support, and positive role modeling for Workforce staff. Promote a team environment where efficacy, responsibility and safety are paramount.
  • Work with Workforce Director, Employment Specialists and Intern Coordinator to assist with program design, implementation, and evaluation to increase access to and efficiency of the program, as directed.
  • Coordinate and provide coverage for Employment Specialists when they are absent.
  • Demonstrate and empower staff to take initiative, problem solve, prevent and de-escalate crises, while maintaining a safe space. 
  • Assist in developing and implementing program structure including but not limited to on-the-job training and guidance for interns, trainees and staff, gaining and retaining employment, creating employment benchmarks, fostering employment partnerships.
  • Assure that programs and operations empower staff and intern program participants to attain the highest possible level of self-determination and stability in their lives, and that programs and operations are conducted in such a manner as to fully respect the dignity, rights, and abilities of each person accessing the programs.
  • Ensure that adequate inventories of operating supplies are on hand and accessible and within a set budget.
  • As requested, assist the Workforce Director and Director of Finance with preparing budgets and overseeing expenditures for the program.
  • Complete staff check-ins & performance evaluations to set goals with clear expectations and address any performance concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with the Employment Specialists, Intern Coordinator and Beautification Leads to assist with regular data collection and reporting.
  • Coordinate with the SRV staff to ensure individuals are progressing through the program.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with program participants, volunteers, co-workers, staff from other agencies, agency funders, and the general public. 
  • Interact effectively with persons of diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities, and treat each individual with respect and dignity. 
  • May participate in special projects and activities. 
  • May perform other duties as requested by the Director.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of previous work experience must be in a supervisory/managerial position. -OR- 3 years in workforce development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse group of people with vastly different learning styles.
  • Must be able to provide proof of Driver’s License.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and proposals, and to present such reports and

proposals both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to meet contractual obligations.

  • Demonstrated ability to function as part of a management team.
  • Understanding of project management systems like Six Sigma, yellow belt certification is preferred but willingness to acquire the certification is required.
  • Excellent computer skills. Demonstrated ability to use word processing, database, calendar, spreadsheet, e-mail, remote meeting software (Zoom/Google Meet).

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Being physically present at CI offices Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Work is performed primarily indoors with occasional interactions outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Work requires the ability to perform repetitive movements of the wrist, hands, or fingers due to continuous use of computer keyboards and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or religious exemption
