This position may work closely with the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) which is a multi-technology office responsible for overseeing more than $27B of investment in large scale demonstrations in emerging technologies such as clean hydrogen, carbon capture, advanced nuclear reactors, grid-scale energy storage, industrial emissions reductions as well as demonstrations in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged regions. Job Responsibilities: + Conduct independent engineering / due diligence technical advisory reviews of electrical power systems and infrastructure supporting clean energy projects + Able to evaluate the expected or actual functionality and performance of electrical power systems and infrastructures + Identify key gaps / needs as it relates to the functionality and performance of electrical power systems and infrastructures + Identify project risks and risks mitigants of electrical power systems and infrastructures + Articulate recommendations for improvement (when necessary) + Work in teams and independently to provide engineering expertise on various electrical power systems and infrastructures + Draft independent engineering / due diligence reports on evaluated electrical power systems and infrastructures + Able to draft a data table and risk table (as part of an independent engineering / due diligence report or otherwise) + Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication - communicating succinctly and clearly + Liaise with a variety of stakeholders when providing engineering expertise (e.g., clients, technology and design providers, other engineering disciplines.) + Conduct independent engineering / due diligence reports on electrical power systems and infrastructures + Able to evaluate the expected or actual technology and its associated power generation, transmission, and distribution elements + Identify k To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
