Within the Marketing technology organization, the Event Technology & Insights team delivers a cutting-edge series of products that delivers in-person, digital, and on-demand experiences across Salesforce's global events marketing portfolio. Our products help connect audiences to the content & experiences they need, when and where they need it, so that it is as easy as possible for them to learn about how to use Salesforce products and drive business growth. Whether customers and prospects are navigating our events ecosystem or on the product buying journey, we aim to deepen their relationship with Salesforce, accelerate learning and networking opportunities, and boost marketing performance. The Event Technology product line consists of four products: In-person technology (registration system, events mobile app, on-site scanning, etc.), Salesforce+ (our virtual events platform), Event Platform and Integrations and High Volume Events (technology used to field events). Role Overview: You as a Director of Product Management will be the Lead Product Manager for Salesforce+ our flagship virtual event and streaming platform. This includes owning the Salesforce+ product, leading two scrum teams with a direct report. Salesforce+ is a platform designed to engage with customers and prospects around the world through engaging virtual events. You'll also ensure that this platform meets extremely high availability standards, integrates deeply with the marketing technology stack and supports event marketers needs globally: all with an eye to drive more leads, marketing pipe and to make attendees successful. Responsibilities: Define and own product vision, strategy and roadmap for Salesforce+ Drive end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to adoption, including requirements with prioritized features, corresponding justification, and success metrics. Lead teams responsible for driving the broader digital technology roadmap at Salesforce, including Salesforce on Salesforce and vendor review, selection, and oversight. Directly manage and develop product management staff. Financial forecasting and management of contractual relationships and value return. Integrating intelligent agents into virtual events using Salesforce Agentforce and Data Cloud technologies. Engagement, selection and management of vendors contributing to Events Technology. Authors and maintains the backlog for a high performing engineering team. Provide regular updates to leadership, advancing items when needed but with presence and relationships to identify and resolve most issues independently. Knowledgeably and successfully present our strategy, roadmap, and current progress/actions to diverse audiences inclusive of senior executives, stakeholders, peers, customers, and partners. Foster, facilitate, and furnish, timely decision-making across a broad network of collaborators, delivery partners, and operational teams. Quickly adopt awareness and demonstrate command of policies, processes, and programs with discernment of the different pressure points for each. Collaborate with security, architecture, engineering, quality, support, experience, program, and infrastructure partners in coordinating the delivery of complex, multi-year initiatives. Represent and lead diverse delivery functions in program/project core team and executive meetings. The position collaborates with other global locations with teams in US and Hyderabad which requires a flexible work shift schedule for some meetings. Collaborate with partners and collaborators to build a shared understanding of product vision and to gain alignment on roadmap and solution strategy. Required Skills/Experience: Minimum of 12 years of Product Management experience in platforms, marketing technologies and/or content publishing. Minimum 8 years of leadership with product, architecture, and technology implementation. Deep experience in consumer experience, marketing, and digital engagement technologies. Passion for data-driven decisions. Expertise at delivering web experiences at a high scale. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure. Familiar and comfortable with agile/scrum development methodologies. Able to dive into details and be hands-on as a direct contributor as well as being a manager. Communicate with business as well as technical audiences. Able to write clear and concise documentation, user stories, and excellent written and spoken communication skills. Function independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, convey a strong professional image, and strive for continuous improvement. Impressive presentation abilities and experience communicating and influencing audiences from analysts to C-suite. Travel requirements: less than 15%. Desired Skills/Experience: Familiarity with streaming platforms and/or Over the top video streaming products. Familiarity with enterprise data management practices and best practices. Familiarity with content management and delivery. Experience in working with professional services roles/engagements. Agile/Scrum certifications.
