WHAT ARE THE HOURS?

We have two full-time shifts available: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; and 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?

As our Community Advocate, you'll be the mastermind behind all the excitement and adventure that happens both within our walls and out in the great outdoors. From our awesome gym to our cool treehouse, it'll be your job to make sure our recreational facilities are truly being utilized to their maximum potential. We want everyone to have an absolute blast, so your calendar will be jam-packed with exciting events and activities.

You'll also be responsible for keeping detailed records of all our trips and equipment, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to coordinate religious services, offer support during investigations, and lead our incredible team of recreation aides. By sharing your wisdom with residential managers and counselors, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing joy and enrichment to our entire community!

IS THIS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU?

Here's what we need from you:

• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in a habilitation/vocational setting
• Ability to pass van driving in-service
• Ability to obtain and maintain Lifeguard and Pool Operator certification
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification as a Special Olympics coach.
• Valid drivers license

Preferred:

• One year or more of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities
