Job Description The Kelce College of Business at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for a College Coordinator for Assessment and Accreditation that is responsible for the administrative oversight of assessment activities of all academic programs within the Kelce College of Business (KCOB) and for coordinating the reporting functions associated with the KCOB's maintenance of accreditation with the Association to Advance College Schools of Business (AACSB).
Duties and Responsibilities Academic Program Assessment and Assurance of Learning - 45% (Essential) Coordinate the Kelce College of Business assessment activities associated with the academic Program Review process and the AACSB Assurance of Learning requirements, including the following actions:
- Provide managerial oversight for all academic and learning assessment activity conducted within the College - undergraduate and graduate.
- Serve as the KCOB's liaison with the University's Director of Assessment to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures for programmatic assessment activities.
- Coordinate the Kansas Board of Regent's mandated Program Review process for all college degree programs in cooperation with the Associate Dean for the Undergraduate School of Business, the Assistant Dean for Graduate Business Programs, the Faculty Chair, and the disciplinary BBA Program Coordinators.
- Support and coordinate the College's Assurance of Learning processes to ensure compliance with AACSB accreditation expectations.
- In compliance with AACSB standards, ensure that the college's portfolio of Assurance of Learning activities includes an appropriate mix of direct and indirect measures of student learning and success.
- Assist the faculty AOL committees with the administration and interpretation of direct classroom measures of student achievement relative to established target levels of competency.
- Manage and coordinate the administration of the Major Field Tests for both undergraduate and graduate students. Prepare and present reports interpreting the results for the college administration and AOL committees.
- Oversee the development, administration, and interpretation of internet-based surveys designed to capture indirect measures of long-term student outcomes. This includes surveys of alumni, employers, and other outside constituents on a periodic basis as established by the college leadership team.
- Serve as an ex-officio member of the undergraduate and graduate AOL committees and actively assist the committee chairs in coordinating the work with college faculty and staff.
Accreditation Reporting and Fulfillment of Data Requests - 40% (Essential) Manage the submission of college data to fulfill reporting obligations of AACSB and in response to requests from outside ranking and recruiting organizations. This includes the following actions:
- Submit all personnel, financial, and academic data in compliance with the annual reporting requirements for AACSB. Complete all AACSB surveys and submit prior to established deadlines throughout the year.
- Compile data and produce tables required for AACSB's Continuous Improvement Review (CIR) report regarding college operations and faculty qualifications, on an annual basis.
- Maintain the currency of the college's "Performance Data" webpage to ensure compliance with AACSB expectations.
- Employ AACSB's Data Direct system to generate comparative reports requested by the College Dean and KLT for programmatic and strategic planning purposes.
- Respond to requests for programmatic and outcome data from student recruiting agencies and ranking organizations to promote the KCOB's academic programs and student outcomes.
- Ensure that all publicly accessible data on KCOB outcomes is accurate and reliable.
Instruction - 10% (Essential) - 10% (Essential)
- Teach one three-credit hour course during the fall and spring semesters.
Other Duties as Assigned - 5% - Assist the KLT in strategic planning and oversight of the Ccllege with respect to assessment and accreditation.
- Serve on the KLC and assist in the daily operations of the College.
- Serve on College and University committees and taskforces as needed .
Education and Experience Required Education and Experience - Time of Hire - MBA or specialized master degree in an appropriate business, education, or quantitative field
- 1 year of experience with collecting, managing, and interpreting data
Preferred Education and Experience -
- 1 year of experience with program assessment and/or academic accreditation standards
- 1 year of experience evaluating student learning and outcomes
- Documented experience developing, implementing, and interpreting internet-based survey
Salary - $50,000
