Remedy is thrilled to be working with a local Montgomeryville, PA company with an urgent need for a CNC Machining Shop Manager.

The CNC Machining Shop Manager is responsible for the quality and output of less than 10 CNC machinists on 7 vertical machining centers and 3 CNC lathes. This is a working manager position.

Job Title: CNC Machining Shop Manager (Direct Hire)

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire

Hours : First shift Monday – Friday (7:00-3:30pm)

Location: Montgomeryville, PA.

Pay: $45/hour

Essential job duties for this role will include:

• Managing / working alongside machinists:
• Produces precision machined parts by, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
• Plans machining by reviewing work order releases, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances
• Programs / works with programmers on mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Sets-up mills by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, indicating vices. Design and produce proper fixturing.

We’re looking for a CNC Machining Shop Manager professional with the following background profile/skillset:

• To be a successful applicant you be a skilled CNC machinist and (programmer) with at least 5 years experience in programming and close tolerance machining from a job shop background.
• Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Verbal and written Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Tooling, Coordination, Attention to Detail, Judgment.
• Must have excellent blueprint reading skills. Must have excellent organizational and housekeeping skills.
• Collaborates with the general manager, president, and engineering department.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Keen attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills
• Maintain an orderly work environment with an ability to manage and meet deadlines
