1:1 Patient Ratio, patient, GREAT Sense of HUMOR, professional and a go-getter. Your duties as a CARE AIDE and PERSONAL ASSISTANT will include everything related to their care: driving to and from activities, engaging and socializing with the client, running errands, keeping the rooms, work areas, closets, and kitchen clean and tidy, laundry and general family assistance is asked as well. To be considered for the position you should have 2+ years of special needs experience (specifically hands-on experience working with adults who need assistance with PARKINSON'S. CNA's AND PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANTS with a passion for wellness AND A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE are highly encouraged to apply! The client works from home and the partner as well, your role would be to maintain a level of privacy during their calls but also offer support when needed. The clients dream care aide is someone who has a calm and relaxed demeanor, but can also laugh and carry on a sense of humor as that is what helps the client thrive with that type of energy around them! It will be expected that you will also respect the no screen time in the household and that you will be engaged and interacting when it comes to engaging with the client and their lifestyle- go on walks neat the beach/park, play frisbee/ exercises. LOCATION: Santa Monica, Ca
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday. 30-40 hours per week set schedule.
8am-4pm OR
9am-5pm
RATE: $25-$30.50 an HOUR
QUALIFICATIONS : Experience working with adults who have neurodegenerative disease. Experience working with private clients. Must have a valid Drivers License . Must have your own transportation. MUST HAVE CNA or IHSS Certification. General job duties ALSO include planning and participating in daily routine and activities to keep the client active!
