Job Description:
Our client is a well-established manufacturer near O’Hare Airport seeking a dependable and customer-focused Local Delivery Driver to join their team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work locally, with no overnight or over-the-road (OTR) travel required. The ideal candidate will deliver goods to our customers in a 24’ box truck, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a 24’ box truck for daily local deliveries
Load and unload goods as required.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and maintaining positive relationships.
Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules efficiently.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and related documentation.
Uphold all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Requirements:
Valid State Driver’s License.
Class C License with air brake endorsement (no CDL required).
Clean driving record.
Previous experience driving a 24’ box truck is preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy items with a pallet jack when necessary.
Positive attitude and a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
Work Schedule:
Start time @ 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM: Monday through Friday.
