Local route Truck Drivers (CDL A or B) are responsible for loading galley equipment onto a truck, driving the truck to various types of aircrafts, and unloading the equipment. Local Truck Drivers usually drive on local public roads, outside of the airport and terminal. Main Duties and Responsibilities include loading equipment onto the truck, driving to aircraft at local airport, loading galleys according to customer guidelines, unloading dirty equipment and placing it in designated areas, interacting with airline representatives, following directions, working as a member of the Transportation team, and additional duties as assigned. Qualifications include being 21+, having a High School Diploma or GED preferred, up to one-year experience preferred, current U.S. driver's license, Class A or B license required, and possibly a Customs Seal from local airport authority. Drivers must be able to read and write, communicate effectively, work varied schedules including weekends and holidays, work overtime when required, arrive on time, comply with company policies, and complete paperwork. Work environment involves exposure to extreme temperature changes and noise, outdoor work in all weather conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, standing, bending, lifting intermittently during 8+ hour shifts, and working at heights up to 25 feet.
