Kilgore, a Summit Materials LLC Company, is hiring a CDL A Local Tack Truck Driver in Salt Lake City, UT to join their growing paving crew. If you’ve got a CDL and are ready to learn a skilled trade that crews rely on every day, Kilgore will give you the training and support to succeed — no tack experience required. This role is critical in the paving process. You’ll operate a tack truck to apply a bonding layer of asphalt emulsion to roads just before the paving begins. You’ll be part of the first step in building roads — and you’ll be home every night.

• Pay is based on experience

Home Time, Route & Schedule

• Home Time: Home Daily
• Schedule: Varying schedule as needed
• Route: Wasatch Front - Salt Lake Valley + Ogden Areas
• Shift: Start times vary daily with business needs
  • 40-65 hours/week during peak season

Equipment

• Operate TACK truck to apply asphalt tack coat to road surfaces
• Automatics with some manuals

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have CDL A license
• Tanker endorsement required
• New drivers welcomed to apply
• No more than 1 DUI/DWIs in last 5 years
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Must be able to lift up to 50lb
• Must be able to climb ladder up to 10ft
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
• Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 40 miles of Salt Lake City, UT or be willing to relocate for this position
