BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Application Programmer V for an opportunity in Jersey City, NJ!
Position Title: Application Programmer V
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 12 Months.
Job Type: CONTRACT, HYBRID
Pay Range: $65/hr.
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Requirements:
Primary Skill
Oracle SQL / PLSQL
Required skills:
* 10+ years' experience with at least 3+ years' experience as a BA/FA
* Delivery focused techno-functional role
* Good knowledge of SQL programming preferably with databases such as Oracle Exadata
* Programming experience with Python or Java/.Net
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* Deep understanding of Capital Markets with focus on Credit Risk, Market Risk or Capital calculations
* Understanding of regulations within the Capital Markets space (Basel, CRR, CRD IV etc)
* Attention to detail and self-starter, with an ability to identify risks and issues and suggest improvements.
Preferred Skillset
* Knowledge of Big Data Architectures and Cloud computing
* Knowledge of machine-learning techniques, classifiers and statistical methods
* Exceptional intelligence and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills
