Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will play a key role in managing financial records and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health and success of our organization.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax requirements.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts to support financial planning and budgeting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, with proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and other relevant software applications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with nonprofit accounting or fund accounting is a plus.
