Our team is looking for an energetic/dedicated paint professional to join the North state's newest and largest collision center specializing in manufacturer certified repairs. *Full-Time *Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid vacation, and Paid holiday's) Automotive Painter - Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Automotive Painter - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications - Non-Structural Analysis and Damage Repair Certification for Collision Repair
- Painting and Refinishing Certification for Collision Repair

Automotive Painter - Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Supervisory Responsibilities Leads paint preparation team members in facilitating job work flow.
Automotive Painter - Essential Duties - Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.
- Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated.
- Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
- Mixes paint according to specifications.
- Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
- Paints surface using sprayer or brush as appropriate.
- Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags and unpainted areas.
- Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
