About the Role
The Company is seeking new board members to join its governance team. The successful candidates will be expected to understand and support the organization's mission, programs, and goals, as well as actively participate in board meetings, stay informed about overall trends and organizational needs, and help evaluate operations, approve budgets, and shape policies. Board members will also be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring legal compliance, and maintaining confidentiality on internal matters. Experience in leadership, with a preference for those with board experience, is required. Knowledge of intersex, variations of sex characteristics, or a willingness to learn about these issues is also essential. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work online through virtual meeting platforms, and availability for national travel to attend business meetings. The ideal candidates will be committed to the organization's vision of creating a safe and supportive society where intersex people can be visible and thrive.
