We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance, and private and institutional financing.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports.
- Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets.
- Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements.
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency.
- Report analysis and findings to management team.
- Manage the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
- CPA or MBA required.
- Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Proven experience with EHR, Dynamics, Great Plains, Payroll, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Reconciliations, Record Entry, Month End, Reporting, Financial Analysis, Income Statement, Healthcare Accounting, and Balance Sheet.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- A multi-tasker with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Outstanding knowledge of electronic spreadsheets.
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
